Use Social Media to Advance Your Company
The full potential of social media has not been completely realized by several companies nationwide and globally. Contrary to what many businesses think, social media can be used to advance your company in terms of lead generation, product development, and customer service to a new a few. It’s time to implement a social media campaign for your company. Here are three strategies to follow as you begin your social media journey.
- Ask and You Shall Receive – After you have built your fan base, you have to get them engaged. Your fans and followers will be happy to give their feedback as long as you ask for it, so ask direct questions about how your business can be improved, like what new products/services would be great to offer, etc.. Social media gives your business open access to potential and existing customers, so take advantage of it.
- It’s Not All About You – Sure, your Facebook Page and Twitter account does represent your business, but keep in mind you need to be relevant to your fans and followers. It’s OK to mention a new product sometimes, but don’t just post stats about your company. Get them involved with exciting contests, polls, questions, videos, and images. Show them there are actually humans behind your brand and social media activity.
- Take Feedback and Run With It – Typically, the person or team managing your social media accounts aren’t the people on the senior management team who make big decisions for the company, right? This reality can cause an imbalance in your business because the feedback received from your fans and followers may not get to the upper management personnel. A process is essential here. You need to develop a process in which your social media feedback is properly transferred to the appropriate decision-makers of your firm. It makes a pretty profound impact too when a fan sees their ideas come to life.
Does your company follow any of these strategies? How has social media advanced your company?
